DR. IAN DUNBAR
is a Veterinarian, animal behaviour and training, seventeen booklets on
pet behaviour problems, and eight videos to his credit. Dr. Dunbar's
monthly AKC Gazette " Behaviour" column was twice voted best
dog column by the Dog Writer's Association of America. He also writes for
in Canada, and for the Kennel Gazette,Obedience Competitor
and Dogs Today in England, and has filmed his fourth
" Dogs with Dunbar " television series on dog behaviour and training. Ian
has produced three Canine Pantomimes as well as promoted the Puppy Dog
All Stars. In the past twenty years, Dr. Dunbar has lectured in seven countries
to six veterinary colleges, over 50 veterinary medical associations, and
100 dog clubs and humane organizations. Ian lives in California with Phoenix
and Oso ( a Malamute and mutt )and a kitty called Mitty.

earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Toronto, where she
specialized in animal learning, Behaviour, and cognition. She is
a certified applied animal behaviourist and operates a Toronto-bassed private
practice for problem pets. She competes in agility, obedience, and
flyball. She lives with Shaahin ( the Saluki ), Ciaran ( the Border Collie
), Eejit ( the Border Collie/Border Terrier mix ), and Carmen ( the cat

for us they do! Puppy biting is a gentle but persuasive reminder that dogs
are animals and need to be trained to be gentle. Indeed, puppy bite-inhibition
